Who is Wayne?

I am a mixed dementia survivor with vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease who now lives in the Medway area of Kent, UK. I was diagnosed in early 2016 after trying for 7 years to get the condition acknowledged, Before this I was a college lecturer in IT and Business but had to stop due to various health issues, including the dementia. Then finding myself as a 60 year old retiree having loads of time to fill, I started to write about the adventures and misadventures I have due to dementia.
I love local walks, cycling, food, good company, fun and .....
I LOVE LIFE!!!!

What is this blog about?
The blog has been going since early 2016 for the use of members on the Alzheimer's Society Talking Point forum and also as a Tumblr.com blog. It covers the adventures I have, the fun, the problems and how I get along with others. I write about how I feel and what goes on in my head to try and communicate to others what it is like living day to day with dementia, the many and varied ups & downs.
